FAQs

World of Difference is a programme which gives you a chance to follow your dreams and really make a difference to a local charity of your choice. World of Difference is giving you the opportunity to devote up to two months of your time to work for charity in Ghana and get paid. This year 50 people will be selected to participate in the programme.

Your chosen charity benefits from your skills and experience for up to 2 months at no cost to themselves. In return, you get to work for a cause you believe in at no cost to yourself. Not only will you gain valuable experience, but it will add value to your CV too. You will also be using your skills and talents to change lives.

We’re accepting applications from 10 August 2011 until 23 September 2011. Judging will take place at a later date. There are 50 placements available. Successful applicants will be notified during the week after judging. People will start their 2-month placements not later than 14 days after being chosen or at a date to be determined by the foundation.

You must provide this information, along with details of the charity, when you apply. Your charity must be a Ghana registered charity. You will be expected to work for the charity for the period.

You are eligible to apply if you are over 18 (at the time you begin your placement) and a resident of Ghana.

You will need to work with the charity for up to two months or at reasonable time as agreed between you and your chosen charity.
