Employee volunteerism

About us

Employee volunteerism

Our passion for the world around us is shared by all our employees, that is why we have an exciting employee engagement programme that takes us out of our usual spaces into the communities.

Vodafone employees will not only devote paid time to community projects, but they will also share a wealth of knowledge, skills, talent and immense goodwill.

Our unique Seek, Identify and Support (SIS) programme allow employees to scout their communities and identify projects that touch and improve lives. Once they’ve identified these projects, they can put together a proposal and submit it for the consideration of the foundation.
Each employee is allowed a number of volunteer leave days to support a foundation project of their choice.

The Foundation recognizes that employees are our strongest link with local communities. The staff sponsor programme encourages employees to actively participate in community development activities through the Foundation's projects. In this programme, staff volunteer to give their time, knowledge and skills by visiting projects, tracking progress in their implementation and acting as a link between the Foundation and the community.

Employee fundraising and matching grants

The employee fundraising and matching fund programme encourages our people to actively participate in building their communities through our matching funds scheme. In this scheme the employees whether individuals or in a team raise a part of their project funds and the Foundation meets them half way in support of these projects.
