01 March 2010

Briefing staff and media at the launch of “The Vodafone Way” David Venn, Chief Executive of Vodafone noted that The Vodafone Way creates a relevant focus for us to enable us work as a team to please our customers.

“Our common objective is for Vodafone to be admired. This is both an emotional and a rational feeling, translating into customers saying: “It feels good to be associated with this brand”.

“The admiration will be for the experience we provide to our customers – enabling them to make the most out of life’s opportunities,” Mr Venn stressed adding that, “our strategy is to become the number one operator in Ghana. In practical terms we want our customers to see a company that is customer obsessed, innovation hungry, ambitious and competitive.”

By this, the company will state its passion about exceeding customers’ expectations and investing in understanding what drives them. “The experience we give our customers drives every decision we make and we all act as customer champions even when it’s unpopular to do so”.

“When we say we are Innovation Hungry, it is about creating and delivering new products, services and ways of working, being externally focused and providing fresh thinking.

“We work in a climate that promotes innovation and risk-tasking in the pursuit of our commercial objectives.”
Vodafone also is also Ambitious and Competitive. This is about bringing both energy and passion to our work and setting high standards for ourselves and our teams so that we can focus on beating Vodafone’s competition soundly.
“We all know we have tough competition in Ghana, but we can beat it, adding that this is because we at Vodafone have the best people working for us, new and fresh talent that is goaded to develop, promote the brand to the best level possible.

Mr Venn said Vodafone is one company, with local roots working as one company across all teams and markets working to achieve the best outcome for our shareholders and our customers.

“We value our diversity and build effective teams to deliver outstanding results,” David said.

Vodafone, the world’s leader in telecommunication took over ownership of the then Ghana Telecom in August 2008; and is already making remarkable strides in the telecommunication industry in Ghana.

Our ambition is for every single member of the organisation to Live ‘The Vodafone Way’, working with speed, simplicity and trust, and resulting in our customers experiencing exceptional products and services.
